Customers at Sainsbury’s Beckenham are set to benefit from extended opening hours this Summer. From 25th May, the store will be opening an hour earlier from 7am to 8am on Monday to Saturday. The store will remain open until 8pm, while Sunday opening hours of 10am – 4pm will remain the same.

Sainsbury’s Beckenham went the extra mile in their fundraising for Sport Relief, raising over £2,053. It comes after the retailer announced a fundraising total of over £6.5 million, making it the biggest corporate donation on the night and £1 million higher than the retailer’s support in 2012.

The team at Beckenham have donated copies of their ‘Bumper Book of Summer’, which contains a number of arts and crafts activities and recipe ideas which can be used whatever the weather.

Sainsbury's customers in the local borough have helped donate £1,708,326 worth of Active Kids equipment and experiences to their Local Education Authority in Bromley since the scheme launched in 2005.

Sainsbury’s customers donated 1 million meals to the Million Meal Appeal, and Sainsbury’s have matched the donation so FareShare can provide 2 million meals to help feed those in need.
