Dear Zoe,

You may be interested in the latest developments at Bromley Council.

Money that should go towards services will now go to retain 20 Councillors that the Council's Constitution Improvement Working Group said were surplus to the Borough's needs. This will cost £360,000 per annum that would have saved Carelink, Penge Citizens Adice Bureau and Day Care places. Bromley will also spend £1.5 million out of reserves on repaving a couple of streets needlessly in Bromley North-this sum alone would have kept Carelink going for 20 years!. I am encouraging residents to write to Eric Pickles Local government minister House of Commons SWIA OAA. to complain about the servicee cuts whilst councillors save their own skin.  This further underlines the need for change locally, regards Rod Reed

Dear Zoe,

Thank you very much for your messages. I can send you the information pack this week; it comprises about 5 pages with a covering letter and a bit of history about the previous Beckenham Council which was an inspiration. I hope it would be ok to send it through the conventional post if you can give me an address to forward the documents.
Thank you very much for your support, there is a tremendous amount of interest in the changes proposed to our local administration! Kind regards, Rod Reed
