"Let me start by saying that I am just a parent who has an opinion. It might
differ from some others’ but we all ultimately want the same thing so we are
not that far apart. I don’t have answers
to everything, I just have my…"
"You’re right, Fiona. But August is an awfully long time ago in terms of this discussion and I have visited KPSC since then and researched the area a little and my views have changed to a degree. That’s allowed, isn’t…"
Thank you for the warm welcome! Regarding your post, yes, I do have a very ideological view of education – I think we all should – but never, for one moment, have I been discussing my children as you suggest.…"
"The difference, as I see it, is that foundation schools run themselves, but are supported by an elected local authority. I didn’t vote for them, but more people did vote for them than any other party. Harris schools are run by the…"
Interestingly I didn't understand why Cllr Adams had carried out the 'camps' exercise - I'm still not sure what point he was trying to make and how he could make such sweeping judgments based on such limited…"
Well, sorry, I can’t prove you wrong. I don’t have a Y6 child; I have mentioned on here before that mine are somewhat younger. I know you will be disappointed. However, I don’t think it is, necessarily, fair to assume…"

"Of course I can understand his distress Ross and I would not wish to upset anyone, believe me. If my comments upset him then I apologise wholeheartedly. I have explained several times previously that were I in the position of making an application…"
"Fair enough John, I see your point. I misunderstood what the Cllr had said. Out of interest, where would I find information on what the 'norm' is? Also, do we have figures on 'all the help KPSC have got'?"
"I should say that I am uncomfortable with being the fount for all educational knowledge regarding sponsor partners etc. Until around 3 months ago I knew nothing about educational policy and I am not certain that I have progressed a great deal since…"
"To be honest, I don’t think that Kelsey’s consultation evening was intended to be the same glossy presentation that Harris provided and which created such a buzz. It was meant to provide residents with an opportunity to ask questions…"
Dear Kirsten, Just to say that I appreciate your more moderate contribtions to the blog. It's all been quite debillitating for me. The consequences, if they are successful, for education in this part of the borough are very worrying.
