I'd be delighted to donate my time / skill as a professional make-up artist to any cancer local support groups, to give these brave woman a little pamper boast. I appreciate it a small and frivolous offer, but sometimes just having a wonderful treat and looking your best can make a rotten day really fun, and just that little bit brighter.

I act as a mentor in local schools via Bromley's Education Business Partnership based at the EDC.  I know they are always looking for people.

I was asked along last week to the London Borough of Bromley's committee on the Big Society to present what BeckenhamTown.us and my @Beckenham Twitter was all about, which was both a great opportunity and on the night it was received really well. I was asked if I'd help with the promotion of borough wide volunteering groups and opportunities and of course this is just perfect for this website and very much part of the daily tweets on @Beckenham's feed. So naturally I said yes, and after a little thought on how best to have a volunteering section, i've gone with a group where organisations and people can meet under one header, be they want to be separate or act together at least here they can. I'm sure it will take a little time to grow, but I hope everyone would join here and then use it as much as possible to post volunteering opportunities and explain what it's all about and how easy it is to get involved.
