The Best British Banger!

Here in Beckenham we are lucky to have one of Britain's best sausage shops in Villagers Sausages, but we are also lucky enough to have local farmers' markets and another contender for Best British Banger must be an Essex raider called The Giggly Pig Company who can be found at both the Saturday Penge Farmers Market in Maple Road and on the 3rd Saturday of the month at Crystal Palace Farmers' Market opposite Sainsbury's

Both have a wide and amazing range of sausages, and to be honest there is so little fat and rusk in them you really taste the difference to anything a supermarket can give you. A meal all in one.

I bumped into the Giggly Pig in Reigate on the last Friday of each month market there and I hate to say it, but they edge it over Villagers and have become a Friday morning to look forward to when going into work - the best sausage sandwich I've ever had!

Suffice to say we have a freezer full of so many varieties from both shops, they produce more varieties than weeks in the year!

If you wanted to try both at the same time they are both at Rochester Farmers' Market on the 3rd Sunday of the month 9am-1pm.
