Parking Charges
Has anyone read Bromley Newshopper today?
It says that Parking in Beckenham will be increasing to 70p an hour - well that's going to finally put the nail in the coffin for the High St.

A pattern emerges developers don't plan in enough spaces, they then pay the Council to help implement CPZs, this causes even less parking, Council increases parking fees, local businesses lose out, locals are restricted to how and where they use their car, more roads go CPZ, hurts more local businesses and employers, apathy within the electorate returns the same people to the Council, and we all do the merry dance again and again.
Simplified but there you go - more joined up thinking is needed to stop these problems getting worse
