Tim - we spoke earlier tonight outside your house while I was looking at your new yellow line and my Internet enquiries suggest there's every likelihood that your ticket is unvalid. I'll pop something through your door later tonight.

Many thanks for that information - it was superb!

All the information that you gave me just strengthened the points that I have made in letter to hopefully over turn the parking ticket.

I will be pretty surprised if the do not over turn the ticket, but i also want to have the situation clarified for the futur,

You should be OK - that bit about the need for a notification plate if there is different regulation to everywhere else is key to the matter, so don't let them fob you off. Keep your teeth in the seat of their trousers and don't let go. It's probably as well to make sure you have evidence that there isn't a plate in case one suddenly appears (though I witnessed that there wasn't one at the time of the ticket and would be happy to sign my name to a statement as such).

I suspect that a white line was intended - which would make sense - but whoever did the paperwork at White Line Depot level wasn't paying attention, or the line-painter didn't read his instructions properly.
